Style of Event VIP Canapé & Wine event for the premier of an Irish made film during the Jameson Film Festival. President Higgins and his wife were in attendance along with several government ministers

Objective To supply fine canapés and quality wines with professional and friendly service. The client, Conor McEnroy an Irish-American, is a Gourmand and wine connoisseur. We wanted to showcase the very best of Irish food & service

Execution We compiled a menu incorporating the best of ingredients, many with Irish produce. Our Client’s Personal Assistant and her colleague carried out tastings with several caterers and visited us on 13th February. We were chosen as their preferred caterers based on the food tasting and the menu content. We then sought to choose wines that would match the menu.
Mr. McEnroy was partial to Argentinean Malbec and we organised a bottle of Cecchin Sin Sulphito for tasting from our wonderful suppliers, Le Caveau who informed us that the chosen wine had just moved from 2009 to 2010 and that they were concerned that the 2010 was not tasting well. We received a bottle and on tasting were not happy with it. Le Caveau sent three other bottles for tasting and we chose a Vaucluse Santa Duc. We sent a bottle to our Client’s hotel for tasting along with a Touraine white, Guy Allion. He was delighted with both.
Our Chef team worked from below a stairwell in the basement of the Gallery and produced beautiful platters of food. Our team of 15 waiters was on hand with trays of wine and platters of canapés

Result Our Clients was thrilled with the outcome. They were bowled over by our calm, professionalism and wonderful food and said that they would recommend us at any opportunity
